B.  Useful Materials

1. Covalent Bond Between Ligand and Receptor Required for Efficient Activation in Rhodopsin - This journal states that a G-protein couple reaction will be more active if the ligand binding to the receptor binds covalently, rather than the usual non-covalent bonds. The initial steps after a non-covalent bond of rhodopsin doesn not change the mechanism, but later steps are severely affected because of the missing covalent bond.

2. G-Protein Signaling - This video describes a type of cellular signaling through G-Protein couple receptors. It is brief and provides clear animations of how the G-protein is activated and works. It also show how the reaction returns back to starting.
